What to Expect as a Registered Veterinary Technician at Grady Veterinary Hospital

This Night Shift Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) position will focus primarily on emergency care. Our team appreciates our typical, full-time schedule:

• 7 days on: 9PM-7AM
• 7 days off

Candidates need to be able to work this one-week-on, one-week-off schedule. Along with contributing to work-life balance, it also improves continuity of care for our hospitalized patients.

Grady Veterinary Hospital a busy, 24-hour, AAHA-accredited hospital. We are looking for RVT candidates who actively want to advance in the field and possess:

• Excellent customer service skills and phone etiquette
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Work effectively with a team and independently
• Critical thinking skills and the ability to exercise good judgment
• CVT, RVT, LVT - Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program is required

Our Registered Veterinary Technicians provide outstanding, quality patient care. They are responsible for responding quickly and calmly to the needs of our patients and clients. Candidates need to be able to communicate clearly with our clients and other staff members and anticipate the needs of our veterinarians. We’re looking for extremely reliable candidates who are licensed in the State of Ohio.
